Fawley: Order, order in the court! We are here today to consider the sentencing of Lucius Malfoy for his involvement with the Death Eaters and his attempt to steal a prophecy from the Ministry of Magic. Mr. Malfoy, please rise.
(Malfoy rises)
Fawley: Mr. Malfoy, you have been found guilty of the charges brought against you. Before we proceed to your sentencing, do you have anything to say in your defence?
Malfoy: Your honor, I deeply regret my involvement with the Death Eaters and my attempt to steal the prophecy. I was misled and manipulated by the Dark Lord. I am a changed man, and I am prepared to face the consequences of my actions.
Fawley: Thank you, Mr. Malfoy. Ms. Bones, do you have any recommendations for the sentence?
Bones: Yes, your honor. Given the gravity of Mr. Malfoy's crimes and his association with the Death Eaters, we recommend a sentence of no less than 20 years in Azkaban.
Mortlake: Your honor, if I may, I would like to argue for a reduced sentence. Mr. Malfoy has shown remorse for his actions, and he has cooperated fully with the Ministry since his arrest. We believe that a sentence of 10 years would be more appropriate, considering the circumstances.
Fawley: I have taken both arguments into consideration. Mr. Malfoy, your actions were despicable and placed the entire wizarding world at risk. However, your cooperation with the Ministry has been noted. Therefore, I sentence you to 15 years in Azkaban, with the possibility of parole after 10 years. You will also be required to pay reparations to the victims of the Death Eaters' crimes.
Malfoy: (nods solemnly) I understand, your honor.
Fawley: This court is adjourned.
