Did Aragorn love Eowyn?

7th of May, Year 3019 of the Third Age

As I sit here, with the cold wind whispering its secrets through the trees of the ancient forest, I find my thoughts ever drawn to the ethereal beauty and steadfast spirit of my beloved Arwen Undómiel. It is she who has captured my heart and soul, and it is she who has taught me the truest meaning of love. In her presence, I find solace, and in her love, I find the strength to bear the burdens of my lineage.

Arwen, like a rare gem, bears a beauty and grace beyond compare. It is not merely her outward appearance that enthralls me, but the deep wisdom and gentle spirit that she possesses as a daughter of Elrond, the great Elf-lord. She is the light that illuminates my darkest moments, guiding me on my path even when the shadows of doubt and despair creep into my heart. In her unwavering love, I find the courage to embrace my destiny as the rightful king of Gondor.

It is true that Eowyn of Rohan, a courageous shieldmaiden, has expressed her affections towards me. She, too, possesses a fierce spirit and unyielding determination that demands admiration. Indeed, it is impossible to deny the beauty and the courage that reside within her. However, I cannot help but feel a pang of sorrow, for my heart belongs to another.

It is not that I do not hold Eowyn in high esteem, for her bravery and devotion to her people are truly commendable. Yet, it is the bond I share with Arwen, a bond that transcends time and space, which calls to me. Our love is a testament to the unity of Elves and Men, a love that has withstood the challenges of time, and a love that I shall cherish until the end of my days.

As I prepare to face the battles ahead, I hold onto the knowledge that Arwen's love shall be my beacon, guiding me back to her arms once the darkness has been vanquished. It is this love that I shall cling to, as I embark upon my journey to reclaim the throne of Gondor, and restore peace to the lands of Middle-earth.

In the stillness of the night, I find solace in the knowledge that Arwen, my Evenstar, awaits my return. And it is with her love that I shall face the trials ahead, as the rightful king of Gondor, and as a man who has found his heart's truest desire.

Ever faithful and devoted, Aragorn, son of Arathorn
